LE MERIDIEN INKS DEAL WITH AMERICAN EXPRESS EGYPT

The Middle East and West Asia office of Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts has concluded a GSA agreement with American Express in Egypt, aimed at boosting the hotel group’s outbound bookings from that country.  According to regional vice president sales for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, Russel Sharpe, the value of the deal is estimated in excess of US$3 million annually.
 
“Partnering with one of the dominant players in the Egyptian travel industry will ensure that Le Meridien hotels are among the top choices for travellers from that country, and we are delighted to conclude this contract in time for the peak leisure season,” he said.
