Landowners of plots south of Salmabad earmarked for a new BD98 million town are demanding more than triple the amount of compensation offered by the government.
According to the GDN, they have been offered by the Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Ministry BD4 per foot, but claim the market price was BD13. Now, they are calling on the Central Municipal Council to intervene and resolve the issue.
