Kuwait’s Finance Minister Yussef Al-Ibrahim has resigned from his post. The resignation, submitted early January, was officially accepted by the Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on January 25. The reformist Al-Ibrahim was the target of parliament criticism. He was nearly unseated in no-confidence vote in July over allegations of corruption.

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shaikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah assumed the financial minister post, while several of Al-Ibrahim’s duties were delegated to the Education Minister. — (menareport.com)
