Oracle Middle East, the regional arm of enterprise software company Oracle announced today Kuwait's Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) has gone live on Oracle Activity Based Management across several of its manufacturing facilities. Activity-Based Management (ABM) is an enterprise business application that provides accurate cost information to managers throughout an organization.
PIC will utilize Oracle's activity-based management methodology to measure the cost and performance of its activities, resources, and cost objects, in relation to the inherent drivers of those costs. Specifically, PIC will have its diverse corporate resources assigned to activities, as well as its activities assigned to cost objects based on their use.
Using Oracle's ABM, PIC can immediately assess the value added to its organization by each activity, thus easily creating detailed performance analyses to enable continuous improvement and competitive benchmarking, according to a company press release. — (menareport.com)
