A Kuwaiti parliamentary commission has recently approved the country's new budget for fiscal year 2005/2006. According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, the new budget forecasts KD 9,298 million total revenues, of which KD 8,570 million oil revenues and KD 728 million non-oil revenues. The new budget's revenues are estimated based on an average $36 per barrel oil price. (KD1=US$3.33)
