A number of Kuwaiti parliament members are currently making efforts to get a majority vote in favor of amendments of the social security association’s law, reported Al-Hayat . Members are attempting to amend the social security association’s law, so that retirement pensions for state-employees will be raised and that the retirement age for women and for workers in dangerous fields of employment will be lowered. Executives at the Social Security Association claim that the requests of the parliament members, if approved, will cause a bankruptcy of the association. — (menareport.com)
