Kuwaiti firm targets prime land in Lahore

Kuwait’s Noor Financial Investment Company has reportedly submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) to acquire prime land to build and operate a five star state-of-the-art hotel in Punjab, Pakistan.

 

"Noor Financial Investment Company of Kuwait will face prominent local business and hotel groups in the bidding competition, which is due in near future," said a senior official of Pakistan's Privatization Commission, according to Khaleej Times.

 

"The Privatization Commission is holding a pre-bid meeting today with the potential bidders who are keen to own and run a five star hotel on Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Lahore.”

 

"The prime land is presently titled as Services International Hotel (SIH) with an area of 15 Kanals and 4 Marlas,” he added.

 

A pre-bid meeting is being held to respond to the queries of the interested parties, which also include Associated Group (Lahore), Bahria Town (Pvt) Ltd (Rawalpindi), Hashwani Hotels Ltd, Marwat Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd (Lahore), Regent Plaza (Karachi), SA Builders (Lahore), Tri Star Group (Islamabad) and Consortium of Sapphire Textile Mills Limited (Lahore).
