According to <i>Azzaman</i> newspaper, the Municipal Council of the Iraqi Al-Najaf Al-Asharaf District received a KD 2 million donation from the Kuwaiti people. A delegation representing the Kuwaiti government delivered this donation as a contribution to rebuilding Al-Najaf city, which suffered from the war.
The Kuwaiti delegation said that his government had previously provided humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people and will continue to provide such aids in the future. These aids contribute to strengthening friendship relations between the Iraqi and Kuwaiti people, the delegation stressed.
