The tenants of many old residential buildings in Kuwait are under eviction orders, Kuwait Times reported on August 9. In order to destroy the old structures and establish new buildings with high rents, the landlords threaten the tenants and sometimes use harsh means like cutting the electricity and water to coerce them into vacate, the newspaper added.
