Danish energy production and trading group Energi E2 A/S had signed an agreement with the local subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), for the purchase of the Gulfhavn oil terminal in Stigsnaes, Denmark. The deal includes a harbor with considerable tank capacity and industrial property spreading over 100 hectares. ENERGI E2 will use the terminal for its oil transhipment activities.
ENERGI E2 is a Danish generator and energy trading company. It owns and operates seven large power stations and ten small-scale combined heat and power plants in Eastern Denmark. The company was formed on June 2000 as the result of a merger between Sjællandske Kraftværker A/S, Københavns Energi Produktion A/S and EK Energi A/S.
KPC was formed in 1980 and is wholly owned by the government of Kuwait. It is the world's ninth largest oil producer. The company operates its own gas stations and convenience stores brand, under the name Q8, in the United Kingdom and has affiliates in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Benelux countries, Denmark, Sweden and Thailand. — (menareport.com)
