Kuwait has been the largest Arab investor in Tunisia, contributing US$288 million, equivalent to 55% of total Arab investments in the country, said an official report. The report, issued by Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-TUNISIA), has indicated Kuwait had injected more capital into Tunisia than any other Arab state during the period 1997-2004, noting that the Kuwaiti NMTC (Wataniya) had contributed more than US$ 141 million in 2002.

Despite the relatively strong Kuwaiti investments in Tunis, the report indicated
that Tunisia' share of overall inter-Arab investment has not exceeded 0.77%.
