ALBAWABA - Sharida Al-Maousherji, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Acting Chairman of the Civil Service Council, issued a new law that introduces face-print technology for employees attendance upon arrival, departure, and during work hours.

According to the recent decision, companies and corporations can utilize other print technologies and electronic means in addition to the face-print system like fingerprints, as long as it serves their rules and regulations, according to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anba.
Face-print process for employees attendance
As per the new law, employees must prove their presence at their workplace during the official working hours upon arrival, departure, and during their official working hours. Employees should apply the fingerprint process within 60 minutes after spending 2 hours at their work, as the two hours upon arrival shall be considered expired.

Employees who will not preform the previously stated process, shall be considered absent without a legal permission during their official working hours, according to article 18 of this new decision.
Civil Service Commission can set different timings for their fingerprints to prove employees attendance during official working hours to best serve their rules and regulations, according to the new law.
