Kuwait's Municipal Council has received from the executive authority of Kuwait Municipality the two projects for developing the islands of Failaka and Boubyan, Municipal Council chief Abdelrahman Al-Hmeidan said Friday night, according to Kuna.

He said the two projects as well as the upcoming mega projects to be referred to the council, would be subject to a fresh work mechanism that would deal with the power failure and water shortage due to extreme pressure on these services. He added that he had proposed to hold a meeting between the Municipal council and the ministers responsible for electricity and water, public works as well as the traffic department to present their views on whether the existing infrastructures enable the implementation of the planned projects.
