The Egyptian Chemical Industries (KIMA) company has reported net profits of 7.5 million Egyptian pounds ($1.62 million) in the first six months of the financial year 2001/2002. This constitutes a 21 percent increase compared to the corresponding first half period the previous year, when KIMA posted a EP6.2 million bottom line.
Founded in 1995, the government-owned KIMA Aswan fertilizer complex produces technical grade porous prilled Ammonium Nitrate, with an annual capacity of 330,000 metric tons. Three other nitrogenous fertilizer complexes operate throughout Egypt: Abu Qir, Suez and Talkha. — (menareport.com)
