Iran’s Daneshvaran Innovation Eng Co (DIECO) has placed an order with Germany’s KHD Humboldt Wedag to upgrade its clinker production facilities its Ardebil Cement plant.
The upgrade is expected to take 17 months to complete and commissioning is set to begin in April 2005. The deal will increase the factory’s output from 2,300 tons per day to 3,500 tons per day, stated a press release.
Scope of supply comprises modification of existing equipment including the four-stage pre-heater, tertiary air duct, rotary kiln and grate cooler. Additional modifications include a new dust settling chamber, inlet chamber for the rotary kiln and cooler inlet section. KHD will install a new four-stage preheater and a new Pyroclon‚ calciner, type RP/C.
