ALBAWABA - Controversial American rapper Kanye West (Now known as Ye) is once again the talk of social media after taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) with a video featuring himself and Ansem, a notable figure in the cryptocurrency community.

Rumors about the rapper launching a cryptocurrency have been in the air for months, but unconfirmed reports indicate that Ye's next cryptocurrency might reportedly be titled "$yzy."

Additionally, the clip showcased Ansem teaching Ye about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It was filmed in a dimly lit area, and many users on social media expressed difficulty hearing what they were talking about despite raising the volume to maximum levels.
Crypto industry veterans expressed both excitement and concern about Kanye West's possible entry into the industry due to the rapper's controversial nature and using the community for attention by launching a "memecoin" instead.
Just recently Ansem also took to X and wrote, "In all seriousness tho Ye was genuinely interested in learning about crypto & how everything works. 99% of ppl external to crypto do not care enough to even ask anyone questions."
Another X user added, "Ansem has a proven track record of onboarding celebs to the space to extract. This is the only thing he'll be teaching Kanye how to do well."
In February 2025, rumors about the rapper launching a cryptocurrency also swarmed social media, just before his stunt with his wife, Bianca Censori at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where she stripped almost naked in the event, sparking outrage across the internet.
The previously rumored cryptocurrency was titled "$YE" instead of "$yzy" and news about its possible release naturally sparked speculation among social media users and crypto connoisseurs about its effects on the crypto world.
