Following a recent agreement between the Jordanian Phosphate Mines Company and the Iranian Petrochemicals, Jordanian exports to Iran will be resumed after it has been frozen for nearly a decade, reports Al-Rai daily.
Director General of the Jordanian firm, Khaled Shayyab, stated that his company plans to export on a yearly basis approximately 400,000 tons of phosphates to Iran.
Shayyab added that the Iranian firm has also requested that 100,000 tons of phosphoric acid be supplied to it annually. The Jordanians are currently evaluating the request.
In addition, another contract was recently signed by the Jordanian firm to supply the Egyptian Aluminum Company with 7,000 tons of fluoride aluminum per annum. The Egyptian company presently imports 3,000 tons of this product. –(MENA Report)
