Young and talented Jordanians will be of particular interest to major recruiting giants such as Jordan's MobileCom, when the annual Job Connexions 2000 employment fair kicks off next week.

MobileCom, Jordan's new value GSM communications operator, announced on Monday that it intends to participate in Job Connexions 2000, the annual American-Jordanian employment fair being held on Thursday, 22nd June, 2000 in Amman. The event is organized by AMIDEAST Jordan and is hosted by the American Cultural Center.

"MobileCom is a Jordanian company, being built using the skills and expertise of Jordanians who will play a dynamic role in shaping the future of the telecommunications industry in Jordan," announced Jean-Luc Vuillemin, CEO of MobileCom. "Although we have spent the last few months recruiting through the newspapers and universities, MobileCom is continuing its aggressive recruitment drive, and will continue to do so as the company continues to expand. We are offering career opportunities which will give young Jordanians skills and experience that match world standards."

As the new value Jordanian public mobile telephone network operator, MobileCom will boast a large display the one-day event, where the company's Human Resource Representatives will provide information and job applications to prospective employees. The company has been an active player on Jordan's recruitment scene in recent months.

"MobileCom will be accepting applications for various positions within the organization, including careers in customer care, information technology (IT), human resources and finance," commented Jamil Rinno, Chief Human Resources Officer at MobileCom.

"We have already recruited close to 200 Jordanians since the start of the operation and are expecting to recruit at least 125 more before the end of this year. This means that we are constantly on the look out for people with talent, potential, ambition and dynamism; people who fit our profiles, people who can achieve."

MobileCom is to develop a new and sophisticated mobile communications network to serve the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and announced that it anticipates project completion and public availability in the fourth quarter of 2000.
