Jordan's foreign trade expands

Jordan's foreign trade exchanges rose, during the first five months in 2004, by 33.6% compared to the same period 

of 2003, the monthly bulletin of Industry and Trade Ministry said. 

 

"The increase is attributed to the rise of imports by 34.6% and exports by 43.5%," the bulletin reported, indicating that re-exports declined by 5.1%. 

 

"The United states was the main importer of Jordanian goods with 27% followed by Iraq with 17.4%, then Syria with 6.3%, Saudi Arabia with 6% and India with 5.2%," the bulletin added. (menareport.com)
