Jordan's exports to the US up by 62%

Jordan's exports to the US increased during 2004 by 62% to reach $ 1. 92 billion compared to $ 673 million in 2003, according to Industrial Development Department at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

 

According to Petra, the Department added that exports of the qualified
industrial zones reached $ 927.330 million whereas the free trade agreement amounted to $ 20. 696 million. Jordan had earlier in 1997 signed the qualified industrial zones agreement. The free trade agreement between Jordan and the US had entered into force in 2001.
