Jordanian exports to Arab free trade zone member states increased by 17.3 percent in the first five months of 2002, while imports fell two percent. The Kingdom exported some 563 million Jordanian dinars ($795 million) worth of merchandise to Arab trade zone member states during the same period, reported the Ministry of Industry.
Jordan’s main trading partners over the last decade were Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Some 74 percent of Jordan’s total exports headed for Arab markets over the past 10 years, with imports from those markets representing 84 percent of the total. — (menareport.com)]
