A senior source at the Ministry of Treasury revealed that 44 percent of the revenues from privatizing several governmental corporations and companies were used to finance development projects, to repay Jordanian debts to the United Kingdom and France and to repay the Royal Jordanian Airlines Corporation’s debts to local banks, reported Al-Hayat . The privatized companies are the Jordanian Cement Factories Company, the Jordanian Telecommunication Company, the Royal Jordanian Airlines Corporation and the Duty Free Markets Company.
