Jordan ships over half its exports to Arab states

Some 52 percent of Jordanian merchandise exported abroad in the first four months of the year 2002 were headed for Arab states. The Kingdom’s exports to Arab Free Trade Zone countries accounted for 48 percent of goods shipped to the Middle East region, reported Xinhua

 

Jordan’s main trading partners over the last decade were Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Some 74 percent of Jordan’s total exports headed for Arab markets over the past 10 years, with imports from those markets representing 84 percent of the total. — (menareport.com)
