The Jordanian Ministry of Finance on Tuesday indicated that the kingdom owes 60% of its debts, which reached JD5.19 billion ($7.32 billion) until the end of April, to industrial countries.
According to the Ministry, Japan was Jordan's major creditor with JD1.2 billion followed by France, Britain, Germany and US. "Funds of Arab governments' debts reached JD288.8 million whereas the regional and international institutions' debts reached JD1.63 billion," the Ministry said, according to Petra news agency.
