The Prime Ministry, on Tuesday, referred 667 cases of forged medical exemptions to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC).
The counterfeit exemptions were discovered in April 2018 at the King Abdullah University Hospital by the Prime Ministry’s bureau, the statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.

An official at the IACC said on Tuesday that a specialised team overseeing the matter found that the value of the 667 forged exemptions amounted to JD1,459,000, Petra reported.
The eight-month investigation tracked 520 people who benefited from the exemptions, all of whom agreed they were provided the documents by hospital personnel, the statement said. They admitted to bribing the staff with JD100 to JD500 per exemption.
