The government on Saturday raised the price of 95-Octane gas and decided to “adjust” the prices of electricity provided to large consumers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
During its session, the Cabinet approved a new electricity tariffs system recommended by the Electricity Regulatory Commission under which the prices of electricity sold to banks and other corporate consumers will be “adjusted”. No details were given.
Also yesterday, Minister of Industry and Trade Shabib Ammari decided to increase prices of the 95-Octane gas from JD0,795 to JD1 per litre and “adjust” those of liquid gas sold in bulk, heavy oil, fuel sold to local and foreign jet planes, kerosene sold to vessels and asphalt as of midnight Saturday.
