The Jordanian Prime Minister, Ali Abu Al-Ragheb, recently stated that the Kingdom’s 2002 general budget prioritizes education projects, health projects and employment training, in addition to land development projects, reported Al-Watan. Prime Minister Al-Ragaheb expressed hopes that the government will attain the necessary funding for these national projects through non-budget financing sources, such as privatization revenues and foreign aid. He also hopes that Jordan will be able to reschedule payments for its external debt, which currently stands at seven billion dollars. — (menareport.com)
