Jordan’s inter-Arab exports rise by 37 percent in 2001

The Jordanian Export Promoting Corporation reported that Jordanian exports to the Arab World increased by 37 percent in 2001 compared with 29 percent in 1991, reported Al-Watan. Jordanian exports to the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA) grew by 12 percent in 2001 compared with three percent in 1991. Jordanian exports to the European Union increased by four percent in 2001 compared with three percent in 1991 and to non-Arab Asian states by 20 percent compared with 47 percent in 1991. — (menareport.com)
