Jobless Bahrainis are set to receive BD120 to BD500 a month unemployment benefit for up to six months. According to GDN, the Unemployment Insurance scheme will benefit school drop-outs, school-leavers, graduates and people who have lost their jobs.
If they turn down a genuine job opportunity, the benefit will be withdrawn, Bahrain's Labour Ministry Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Affairs, Jameel Humaidan has told the newspaper.
The ministry will find each beneficiary three possible jobs, he added.
