A protocol was recently signed between Egypt and an unnamed international company to establish a communications and information technology (IT) university in Egypt. The institution’s will train Egyptian university graduates in the latest developments in the communications field, reported Al-Ahram daily. Studies will be based on special methods developed by the international firm participating in the deal.

In a further attempt to boost the country’s IT capabilities, several software business incubators will begin offering two-year internships for 300 Egyptian professionals each year. These programs, based on American and European models, are expected to provide 5,000 high paying jobs over the course of three years. ― (MENA Report)
