ALBAWABA - TruckNet, a pioneering digital shipping company, has unveiled plans to initiate a groundbreaking fuel transportation operation from Israeli ports to various Arab countries.

Specializing in connecting truck owners with cargo owners seeking transportation services, TruckNet operates across Europe, the Persian Gulf, and Israel. The company's innovative platform facilitates auctions for transportation costs, ensuring efficiency and transparency in the process.

In a strategic move, TruckNet has forged an agreement with a Persian Gulf-based company to conduct a pilot program, exploring the feasibility of transporting fuel through Arab nations. This venture aims to transport approximately 34,000 tons of fuel and products per month, a significant logistical undertaking that could involve up to 800 containers.

The cost of transportation has surged since the agreement's inception, rising from $1.2 to approximately $2 per kilometer, following increased transit fees imposed by Arab countries for trucks. Consequently, there is a growing need to import fuels from ports closer to their final destinations.

This initiative builds upon TruckNet's existing route, which circumvents disruptions caused by regional conflicts and facilitates faster imports and exports between Israel and Eastern destinations.

Hanan Friedman, CEO of TruckNet, expressed optimism about the project's potential, citing the success of the company's existing continental shipping line between the Persian Gulf and Israeli ports.

He emphasized the importance of completing the circular route to integrate TruckNet's system efficiently, ultimately positioning Israel as a pivotal hub for international trade.

The initiative holds significance not only for fuel transportation but also for fostering closer economic ties between Israel and Arab nations, marking a milestone in regional cooperation and trade facilitation.
