Iraqi delegation discusses water projects

An Iraqi delegation from the ministry of water resources participated in a recent technical convention, organized by the United Nation Environment Program (UNEP) in the Jordanian capital of Amman. A source at the ministry revealed that the delegation included engineer Thiyab Abdallah, the operation manger for irrigation projects, and three other members.


The delegation was to discuss plans for reviving projects to develop water quality in Alahwar (Marshes).


The source also said, according to Alkadhum newspapers, an Iraqi delegation will participate in the convention of preserving the environment in Manama that will be held in the 28th of March. In this convention the Iraqi side will raise the issues of Alahwar in order to find solutions to protect its water.
