The technical personnel at the Iraqi ministry of Telecommunication and Post succeeded in operating the modern telephone station of July14th and thus to replace the older one, which suffered from continuing interruptions, according to the Iraqi newspaper, Kul Iraq. The new exchange system offers to the subscribers the "identified conversation" service for ID6,000 annually.
On the other hand, the telecommunication and post department of al-Naseriyya province succeed in operating the main telephone line of the province, which provide service for several important institutions, including AL-Naseriya textile plant, the gas station, the gas distribution plant, several oil cites and the branch of the public company for construction materials.
