According to <i>Al-Fourat</i> newspaper, Mr. Falah Hassan Al-Burjani, Director of the Health Department in the Iraqi District of Waset, said that Waset is clean of the AIDS disease. The official said that his department has covered all the local population, including men, women and children, with vaccines against the AIDS disease.
He added that his department had received 28 containers full of laboratory equipment, which will be distributed to the health centers in the district. He also said that his department had demanded the Ministry of Health to set up a special center on the Iraqi-Iranian border to check the arrivals and to assure that they do not carry diseases.
