The Association of Iranian Confectionary Manufacturing Companies secretary disclosed that it is predicted that the export of biscuits, cake, chocolate and other kinds of sweets will increase by 43 percent this year hitting $100 million in the current Iranian calendar year 1383 (March 20, 2004- March 19, 2005).
According to Mehr News Agency, Ali Movahhed added that in the past Iranian year, export of chocolate and cookies reached $70 million.
He noted that presently a good market exists in the region for these kinds of products. (menareport.com)
