Iran: US$10.5 billion non-oil exports

Head of Iran's Trade Development Organization said on Wednesday that 4,000 Iranian-made goods were exported to 163 countries in the last Iranian year which ended on March 20.

 

According to IRNA, Mehdi Ghazanfari added that out of the total of US$10.5 billion non-oil exports, some US$3 billion worth of goods were exported to the Gulf states while commodities valued at US$1.2 billion went to the European Union last year.

 

He added another US$1.5 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported to the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and US$4.8 billion to other states such as African countries. "Our non-oil exports in the last Iranian year showed a 37-percent growth compared to the figure for the previous year," he said.

 

He further said 5,700 articles valued at US$39 billion were imported last year.
