Iran will join wheat-exporting countries as of next year. The Agriculture Ministry has estimated Iran's wheat production will register a 10-15 percent rise in the coming year, which will satisfy local demand and also leave a surplus for export.

The Miniatry also announced the scientific potential in the country's agriculture sector has been fully tapped to see a sharp expansion in wheat production from 14 million to 18 million tons, IRIB reported. (menareport.com)
