ALBAWABA - Iran's Civil Aviation Authority announces on Wednesday that for now it will only extend flight cancellations until 2:00 P.M. today.

The spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organization emphasized that passengers should only receive flight notifications through the Civil Aviation Organization, announced the extension of the Notice to Aeronautics (NOTAM) regarding the closure of the country's airspace, IRNA news reported.

Reza Ramezani, spokesperson for the CAO, said: The country's airspace will be closed until 2:00 p.m. today, June 18, 1404."

After that, the civil flights are expected to reopen despite the ongoing tension between Tehran and Tel Aviv, which started again when Israel attacked nuclear facilities and targeted Iranian military commanders, leading to the killing of many, on June 13.

Several airlines have suspended or cancelled flights in the Middle East, and some countries have closed their airspace amid the ongoing tension in the region.
