Iran is responsible for 1% of the global production of 600 million tons of milk.
Mostazafan Foundation of the Islamic Revolution public relations said that at present the Islamic Republic produces more than 6 million tons of milk with an annual consumption of 85 to 90 kg per capita compared to industrialized countries with annual per capita consumption of 250kg.
According to MNA, Magsal Company manager Zarin-Na’l, added annual per capita consumption of milk has risen to 17kg since 1994, and is predicted to amount to 150kg. (menareport.com)
