Iran intends to raise wheat production by 10 percent next year on the condition of having good snowfall during this winter, said the director of Wheat Plan, Eskandari. Attending a meeting in Shiraz, he addressed the Administration Council of Fars Province voicing hope that Iran would be able to export the locally produced wheat within the next few years.
According to MNA, at present, the average production of wheat per hectare in Marvdasht, Fars Province, has stood at 4.5 tons that would be enhanced by much more.
