Iran injects 25 billion cubic meters of gas into five southern oil field reservoirs

(MEBG) – Iran has injected some 25 billion cubic meter of gas into reservoirs at five oilfields in the south of the country. Quoted by Irna, the Iranian news agency, Seyed Mohammad Sohofi, an oil ministry advisor said that this is part of a national plan to gradually phase out the burning during the period  

2000–2005. 

Meanwhile, operations to implement the Gachsaran 1200 gas project and the Gachsaran 1300 liquefied gas project started last week. The cost of the two projects is $200 million, and they are expected to be complete after a 36-month construction period. Their expected daily capacity will be 46,000 barrels of liquified gas. It will be supplied to southern Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex.
