Iran’s Khorassan province exports non-oil exports rise

The Iranian province of Khorassan exported some 38.4 tons of non-oil goods in the first month of the new Iranian year beginning on March 21, a 96 percent increase compared with figures from the same period last year, reported IRNA. The goods had a total value of 85 billion rials ($10.6 million). 

 

The Khorassan province is situated in northeast part of Iran. It has common border with Turkmenistan in the north and Afghanistan in the east and is the supplier of one third of the country’s non-oil exports. The province is the number one  

producer of barley, sugar beet, saffron caraway seeds and melon in the country. — (menareport.com)
