According to Al-Mendhar newspaper, the Chief of the American Forces in the Iraqi Al-Najaf District announced that ID 10 million was invested in the city since its liberation. These investments included water pumping projects, electrical stations maintenance projects, schools building projects, health centers rebuilding projects.
The investments also included purchasing a large number of cars for the police, in addition to refurbishing and furnishing the different offices of the Al-Najaf governorate council. He added that Iraqi companies had directly supervised the reconstruction process in the city.
