Microsoft executives, partners and enterprise customers gathered this week for the inaugural ‘Financial Services Summit 2003’, bringing regional and international financial services specialists together to share best practices with delegates from across the Middle East.

Microsoft partnered with HP, Intel, Accenture, Mindscape and Financial Objects to reiterate its commitment to the financial sector in the Middle East. The conference was also a platform to share Information Technology (IT) best practices and business benefits to help the region’s financial organizations build a robust and cost effective technology foundation, according to a company press release.

“Global technological development has created the possibility of direct access to information, any time, any place, and on any device and with this comes the opportunity to deepen customer relationships, grow revenue and cut unwanted costs. Technology is the single most important business driver in this information-based financial industry,” said Mohammed Kateeb, Managing Director, Microsoft Middle East during the press conference. — (menareport.com)
