The dangers of bio-terrorism, including the use of anthrax as a terrorist weapon, will be highlighted next month, at a Dubai Health Conference to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center on January 26, 2002. The conference will examine how the effects of biological terror weapons can be minimized. The conference is part of a broader seven-discipline forum program running alongside IIR’s Arab Health Fair, the Middle East’s medical exhibition.
Over 35 speakers from 10 countries including the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Sub-continent and Australasia will address the Arab Health 2002 conferences devoted to a range of specialties including radiology, hospital management, ophthalmology, dentistry and surgery.
So far 600 companies from 32 countries have contracted to exhibit at Arab Health 2002, which will span five halls at the Dubai World Trade Center from January 26-29. The show, which is supported by the UAE’s Ministry of Health, will include 19 national pavilions or industry groups. It will also feature three dedicated sister exhibitions - Arab Dentistry, MedLab, for laboratory and biotechnology products, and Pharmacy.
