Intel Corporation introduced to the Middle East new versions of its new desktop microprocessor, the Intel Pentium 4 processor, all with a new 533MHz system bus that is designed to enrich PC (Personal Computer) users’ experiences with broadband content, games, digital music, photos and movies, while helping businesses maximize productivity and take advantage of the new web-services environment.
“Demand for broadband in the Arab World is growing, and we at Intel are constantly lobbying governments to make Broadband as attractive in the Arab World as it is in the rest of the world—typical monthly subscription rates throughout this region well exceed the $40 threshold rate that in our experience triggers huge uptake in Broadband subscription,” said Gilbert Lacroix, general manager of Intel Middle East and Africa.
