Industrial investments in Lebanon down in 2000

A report recently made public by the Lebanese Ministry of Industry has showed that the number of new factories opened in Lebanon had declined to 191 in the first half of 2000, down from 266 in the first half of 1999. This figure, appearing in Al-Morakeb Al-Inmai, represents a 28 percent fall in this sector.  

 

The capital invested in these factories fell from LL 67.2 billion to LL 82.3 billion during the same period, constituting an 18.3 percent decrease. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
