Increased volume of credit reported in Egypt

A report recently released by the Central Bank of Egypt said that the Egyptian economic indications showed good performance during the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2003/2004, as the volume of credit rose by L.E 8.1 billion, reaching a total of L.E 292.8 billion until last February.  

 

The report added that the local cash liquidity increased by L.E 34.7 billion reaching a total of L.E 419 billion.  

 

It noted a drop on the international reserve, totaling $14.237 billion in February against $ 14.293 billion in January. (menareport.com)
