A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to arrive in Israel today for its annual work visit. The delegation will be holding its meetings in order to assess the state of the economy and to prepare the annual IMF report covering this topic. The delegation will remain in Israel until December 15, 2003.
As it does every year, the delegation will be meeting with the Minister of Finance, the Director General and senior officials at the Ministry of Finance, the Governor of the Bank of Israel and other senior banking officials. Meetings will also be conducted with the Minister of Industry, Trade and Communications and the Secretary of the National Labor Union.
The delegation will be headed by the Deputy Manager of the European Department, Jose Fajgenbaum. The other delegation members include Head of the Israel Desk, Gil Meherez, Senior Economist Allan David Brunner and economist with the International Capital Markets Department, Magdalena Polan. They will be accompanied by Bank of Israel representative to the IMF Herman Littman. — (menareport.com)
