IIR Exhibitions, organizers of Motexha, the Middle East's trade show for the international

fashion industry, will begin a major promotional drive throughout the fashion B2B world in the new year.

"This will give us an opportunity to enter dialogue with government heads and key representatives of major fashion trade associations. We aim to create more awareness and raise the profile of Motexha internationally," said Project Manager Shannon Norris, IIR Exhibitions.

The IIR team's first port of call will be Thailand in January for the Bangkok International Fashion Fair 2002 before moving onto Düsseldorf, Germany in February for arguably the global fashion industry's leading trade show, CDP. The team will finish up in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Fashion Week in July.

"Each of these shows figures prominently in the calendars of the fashion trade industry. By

canvassing these fairs we hope to hit key industry decision makers, making them aware of the business opportunities here in the Middle East and that Motexha represents the perfect platform from which to launch any foray into the region's retail and fashion industries," said Norris.

Motexha Spring 2002 will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 15-18, 2002. To date, exhibitors from 11 countries have contracted space the show with organizers receiving national pavilion commitments from Cyprus, Turkey, Germany, Italy and Spain. Motexha is held twice a year in Dubai with Spring and Autumn editions alerting the Middle East's fashion and retail trade to forthcoming industry trends. — (menareport.com)
